Editing Week 2
As the film continues to reach a more final form, we began to look into more detail to resemble a professionally made film. Carson continued to assist us more in this process, as he has much more experience than we do.
We began looking into text for our opener. We decided on a classic, southern Italian font to resemble the ambience of the restaurant in which we were filming. We also kept the text tall and slender to more resemble that of a horror film.
While doing this, we ran into a few issues with our shots. Some were too short. To combat this, we slowed down many clips that didn't involve any dialogue of exaggerated character movement. This allowed for us to better space the text we wished to display, entering and exiting with a slow fade.
This week was much shorter than last week, as it was more of refining details than creating moods or tones.
