AICE Media Week 2: Practicing Camera Angles/ Storyboard Assignment

This video is a high-angle shot of two teachers having a conversation from a bird's                                                                                  eye view.

This shot here is a reaction shot to something taking place off-camera. As for the shot itself, the reaction shot is able to highlight outside perspectives of more prominent actions without having to focus the camera on it.

The video below is a Pan shot, and serves to connect two separate axis in one scene to one another.
The following clip is a low-angle shot. This shot showcases its main subject looking downward to focus on something often out of frame.
The Cameo shot in the video below serves to gain perspective on its target on something has either occurred in the past or is currently taking place. Think of The Office.
The clip below is an attempt at the Head-on shot. The goal of the shot is to make the subject come toward the 4th wall and make some imaginary impact with the camera.
The goal of the Extreme Long-shot is to capture the environment and scenery surrounding the subject, such as this girl walking through a high school courtyard.
The next video is the Dolly shot. This angle aims to follow the subject as they traverse, taking the scene with them.
Just below is a close-up shot. This shot focuses on an object in a fixed location, such as grabbing keys off the table, or in this case, the squirt of a hand-sanitizing bottle.
The last video of this storyboard would be the over-the-shoulder reaction. This camera angle intertwines the subject with an action taking place just out of focus.

Comments

  1. I liked your close-up shot and thought it really captured the overall idea of someone sanitizing their hands. The cameo shot was also interesting because you can tell its a plain background which made the subject stand out. Another shot I liked is the high angled shot because it really demonstrated the bird eyes view.

  2. I liked your reaction shot, she really captured the feeling of excitement when she saw what was around the corner. I also liked the extreme long shot, it felt like it was the ending to a movie where the character is going into her future. Finally, I liked the pan shot, it felt very rebellious to just rip of your ID when the sign said not to.
